In honor of international veterinary medicine day
we'd like to give you a glimpse of some of the unique things our large animal veterinarians encounter. Dr. Metcalf and Dr. Mickelson worked together on an equine cryptorchid surgery. This little horse only had one testicle outside of his body wall. The veterinarians did a minor surgical procedure to expose the other (undescended) testicle. This surgical procedure is best performed in the clinic and this little horse recovered extremely well.
