FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Should I leave a message if no one answers the phone?

A: Yes! Due to the nature of our ambulatory practice and limited need for staffing in an office space, we do not always have someone available to answer the phone. However, we will return your phone call if you leave your name, number and a brief message.

Q: What if I'm going to be late or have to cancel an appointment?

A:Please arrive on time for your pet's appointment as this allows us to provide timely, quality care for everyone's pets, including yours. If you are over 10 minutes late for your appointment you will be charged a late fee.

Please give us 24-hour notice for cancelling your appointment. If 24-hour notice can't be provided, you may be charged an exam fee. All clients who have three (3) no-show appointments and/or cancellations will no longer be permitted to schedule appointments and will only be seen on a walk-in basis if time permits.

We appreciate your help in keeping everyone's appointments on time!

Q: I have an emergency, what number should I call?

A: If you have an emergency during routine business hours, call the clinic at 715-934-9055 and our support staff will help direct your call to the appropriate veterinarian. If you have an emergency after 5pm or over a weekend or holiday; call the clinic at 715-934-9055 and an automated receptionist will direct your call to the veterinarian on-call. Small animal emergency services (dogs, cats, bunnies and pocket pets) are limited, but we will always help direct your call even if we’re not available.

Q: Which veterinarian works on which animals?

A: Both Dr. Metcalf and Dr. Mickelson practice equine, dairy, beef and small ruminant medicine, while Dr. Zoet, Dr. Cook and Dr. Roedel are exclusively small animal.
